Overseas VMG Global has been particularly active in India where, operating as VMG India, the company has won the contract to install a digitalised advertising and information network with the Iconic ‘InfoPod’, at Delhi International Airport. This site is one of the largest and busiest international airports on the sub-continent and is a highly demanded advertising location. The imminent launch of Terminals 1 & 2 will be followed by the opening of Terminal 3 [also contracted to VMG] in Q2 2010, in time for the Commonwealth Games. This will see Delhi International become one of the premier airports in the world, with Terminal 3 both larger and better appointed than Heathrow’s Terminal 5. For this contract VMG is adopting the same media outsourcing formula as its UK business model and has secured a revenue generation contract with India’s largest outdoor advertising contractor, Times of India (TOI).
